'78 cuts out when hot

Just started cutting out when driving after sitting and warmed up (hot). Today it cut out at 70. It almost always starts right up, but makes me wonder if I am going to get home. 2nd time that it happened. Put in dry gas. Vapor lock?? Bad coil?? Any ideas?? Thanx.

I have a similar problem. Mine sometimes has trouble starting when it's really hot outside. It runs great after it starts and doesn't die while I'm driving but like today it's 90 degrees out and it took a while turning over for it to start.

Edit: a while means like 30 seconds

My brother had a car that would just shut off when hot...let it cool - it would start right up....turned out to be the coil...
???

It just makes a loud pop and stops. Starts even if I'm moving. thanx for the replies.

I think we might have a similar problem because mine has been doing the loud pops and it feels like it's going to die but it doesn't.
