help door lock
Good to all, I live in Spain and first it wanted to ask for pardon for my Englishman, I am a happy owner of a Corvette C3 1979, and have a problem, have to change the locks, but I do not meet on the key to be able to extract them, someone would be able say to me that I have to dismount to be able to extract them
Pd: if Spanish speaks someone and wants to practise it one would be grateful for it

I speak it as well, just not 100% fluent.

Bueno haber si con un poco de español, y un poco de inglés nos entendemos.
Este es mi corvette.
Tengo un problema, y es que tengo que sustituir las cerraduras de las puertas, pero no puedo sacar la cerradura, y quisiera saber si alguien me puede explicar como hacerlo.

I have a problem, and it's that I need to replace the locks for the doors, but I can't take the lock out, and I would like to know if someone could please explain how.

I also have a 1979. I changed my locks. Take the inside door panel off. Inside the door there is a "C" shaped clip that holds the lock in the door. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and remove the "C" clip. You can then remove the lock. Remove the rods from the door handle and lock mechanism that are attached to the door lock. Install the new lock in the reverse order as you took out the old lock.

The "C" clip is the black metal piece behind the wires of your door lock alarm. Disconnect the electric wires and remove the small c-clip on the end of your door lock. Slid the large black metal "C" clip off of your door lock. The lock will then come out of the door from the outside of the door.
