actully you would want the interlocking mount, the design keeps the mount from literally falling apart. if it fails.

Not true. I just had to replace the drivers side mount on my stock 190hp '76 motor. It came appart and the alt. arm was hitting the hood. I have been autocrossing the car since august last year. I believe it broke in september though and I didnt' find it was broken untill April.
The interlocing (safety) type mounts are what i put into mine. It will keep the motor from lifting up too much when the mount does break.
