Default straight or angle plug heads?

Will angle plug heads work good with Hedman headers or should I stay with the straight plug head?
Looking at it with the straight now and with the way the header tubes run it looks like the angle would be real tight on a couple of spark plugs even with shorty plugs.
O ya I forgot I have a 76.

Thanks,
Sid

Default Angle plug heads and header clearance

I have a 80 small block with angle plug heads and hedman elite headers. I think the plug clearance is tight with either angle or straight heads. I used shorty plugs and everything fit ok, but I had to oval a few tubes on the headers to get more plug wire boot clearance. I think you would have to do the same with straight plug heads. I marked the headers with a felt marker where the plugs were close, and put the tubes in a bearing press between 2 pieces of 2x4 wood and ovaled the tubes. It did not damage the headers and even looks like they were made that way. I hate to see someone take a hammer and dent a nice header for clearance.
