Summit drop base on a Q-jet

Does anyone know if the Summit 1" Drop base air cleaners will clear a Q-jet, Summit can't tell me for sure.

summit is good about letting you know what fits what. if you know the part number ask them and they will be able to tell you.

Summit can not tell me if SUM-G3000 will fit a Q-jet for sure, they just said send it back on my dime if it doesn't.

I have a Moroso drop base aircleaner and the only mod I had to do was dimple the base slightly for clearance with the accelerator pump arm.

I haven't found a drop base air cleaner yet that will clear all the linkage on either a Q Jet or my Edelbrock. I'm going to take an old base and modify it to fit as soon as I get some time.

I bought an aluminum, off set 14" air cleaner dropped base off of e-bay. It fits my q-jet perfectly and clears the distributor by about an inch. It clears my hood liner by 1 1/4" with a 14" X 3" air filter.
