I recently put in a new 383 in my 75. The motor runs great when you have your foot on the gas but during deceleration below 50 mph the car bucks. It doesn't feel like a timing surge more of a snap to it like it didn't fire a cylinder. I'm thinking its the intermediate or idle circuit for the carb. It also has an unburn't fuel smell at an idle but I'm not sure if its lean or reversion from the cam.
Motor specs are 383, 10.4 compr, roller cam w/ 230 @ 0.050, 0.570 intake, 0.518 ex at 109 separation, afr 180 heads, 4165 on Weiand street single plane, 64 jets in the primarys, idle discarge slot exposed 0.030. Timing is 14 static with 20 mechanical all in at 3000. Vacum adavnce has been changed and is 15 degees max. Any suggestions appreciated.
