grille installation on a '76
I just got my '76 back from the paint and body guy with a "surprise", the grills would not fit in the Tru Flex front bumper I bought from Willcox Corvette. Does anyone have any experience with this? I was wondering if I might have been sent the wrong bumper. Are the '73-'74 dimensions the same as the '75-'79? The grilles seem to be a bit bigger than the holes for them and even if they fit the mounting holes don't match up and the lens assembly would hit the frame under the bumper. We are at a loss as to what the issue is since we bought the bumper and grilles for a '76 both from Willcox. Should these be able to be inserted from the front of the bumper or just the back. We tried every which way without any luck. Any help or insight you may have would be greatly appreciated.
