Default Car Covers

Well, I'm about ready to take the plunge and buy a C3. But until I get my garage finished (still another 4 - 6 months) I'll either have to park it on my driveway or rent a storage unit. I think I'm gonna rulke out a storage unit...they want too much (on average their asking $165/month plus security deposit...I'd rather be putting that money into my Vette!). I'll probably keep it parked on my driveway so I'd like to get a car cover, but I never knew there were so many choices! The weather here in Detroit changes from one extreme to another (last month we had record highs in the 60's...yesterday and today it's been in the teens and snowing/freezing rain) so I want something that offers a lot of protection.

What kind of car covers do others use and are you happy with them? Any suggestions on what to look for?

Thanks again!

I bought a Stormtech Car Cover - Part # DSHKG CH2132GK

You can buy them from here: http://www.car-covers.com

The fit is great, although I get so much wind on my property that I'll need to probably use some tie-downs.

Note: Although my cover came with a little kit for poking an antenna hole, I opted to install a power antenna instead. A pile of trouble, but I think it will be worth it in the long run. :boxing
I'm also using it as an excuse to upgrade the stereo anyway. :jester

Cheers,

Tony

I got a tech IV I think its called, anyway looks like the wolf, and works well. Its too big for me to clean, so the laundry had to do it. I used it until I started the resto full blast. I got another outdoor one, older canvas with soft lining, haven't tried it yet. I don't have critters but will probably get a indoor cover just for the dust after I get thru with the paint. :smash:
