What's next to replace?
My big block project is almost done, but was wondering what I should look at next. I am going with a complete rebuilt, new gears M-20 trans and we are building a new drive shaft with new u -joints. Question is last fall I had my rear gear replaced with a new Richmond 3:70 gear set. He also said that they put in new bearings, is there something else that needs to be replaced in the rear end? How about half shafts and u -joints? Thanks

I just had the Richmond 3:70 installed a few weeks ago on my '77. (The car came with a 3:08 Rear). At that time I had all of my U-joints and half shafts replaced. Wanted to be done with the rear once and for all.

I am with vettecor. Last winter I rebuilt the rear suspension. I wanted to be done with it also. So I went ahead and replaced the u-joints on the driveshaft and the half shafts. Something else I don`t have to worry about anymore.
