So it looks like i have to go get a shop to redo the hog rings on the seat backs. They are all in the way of the seat clips. Where in Gods Name do the vendors get this junk from I am not going to name names. But this vendor knows who i am talking about. I will eat the cost to get the seats fixed, but that ends my dealing with this vendor. I am tired of spending good money on repo parts that dont fit worth a SH*T.
The way I did the bottoms was i first hooked the front clips, then squeezed the seats front to back untill the rear clips could fit.
If you are struggling with the seat backs, One tip is to take an old flathead screwdriver and notch the blade to make a hook that you can use to pry the wire over the clip.
put the seat bottoms on the floor, upside down. then stand on the frame to compress the foam and get a little slack in the cover. also, i used zip ties to pull the wires into position to make getting the hog rings in place.
I got my 15 yr old son to help, he is on the football team and makes a good VISE. lol we got them in with a ton of effort. The hog rings we had to cut off were only on one seat and didnt seem to matter if they were not in place. I am never swapping these things side to side.
I used the zip tie trick it made easy to find the clips. Then I used the tool you use to plug tires with to pull the wires through the foam, it made pretty easy. For streching the covers to pull the sides tight, I let them set out in the sun for an hour or so and they streched really easy.
