Today while rebuilding my power steering pump I scored the bearing that supports the pump shaft. I have called around town here and no one carries this bushing/bearing. They tell me to find a jobber that rebuild them and see if I can get one.
Ok, here is my question. Can someone look up and tell me which power steering pump will interchange with my power steering pump. I believe the reservoirs are interchangeable so that doesn`t matter. The local junkyard says that they are corvette only parts. I think he may be too lazy to pull a power steering pump.
Can someone help me. Thanks in advance.

Hi Eddie,
Per the Corvette Parts Interchange Manual, for '70 thru '73 the interchange part number is 7808286.
Hope that's what you needed.

Yes, corvette only, but 1970 - 1973 all used the same one. 7808286. Actually, late 69 to 73 corvette with power steering, all engines. MJ
So they dont include the parts you need in the rebuild kits?

The rebuild kit includes all the o-rings you could ever use. I damaged the busing in the snout using a punch to get the pumpshaft to come out of the pump body. MISTAKE Should have used a socket to drive it out with.
I was thinking maybe the body of the pump would be the same. Oh well. Thanks for the help.
Now I gotta find one of those bushings somewhere.
