1968 Passengers side mirror
Well after further research I guess the question I need to ask is, has anyone installed right side mirror using the well nut kit they all come with. If so were you happy with install and does it feel solid.Any issues over time with this install. Thanks.
P.S. I don't see any way to install a plate on the inside without cutting holes in 2 layers of steel inner panels.

I can tell you, it is very easy and the mirror will stay on without any movement. I installed a passenger side mirror over ten years ago and is as solid as the day I installed it. Measure twice before drilling holes. You'll be happy you did.
