Default It's Raining Parts

What the hell is this, it fell on my feet when I hit a hothole this morning on the way to work.

1980 Corvette Auto.

Maybe some hints....My dash lights stopped working a few dasy ago, my flasher also fell out at the same time this fell out, and my stupid tach still dies at 3000 rpm. Also the delay option on my wipers do not work but I think that is the relay.

Any idea what this is?

It goes under the signal light relay in the fuse box, just a noise supressor, line up the terminal and slide it in before the signal light unit! Ron

Thank you for the reply, can you tell me what noise this device supresses? What would happen if I just leave this device out?

That thing is a pain to get back in. That is why mine is still out. Supposed to supress noise pulses in the radio when the turn signals flash. Don't hear any difference.

It only applied to the original radio , most radio's now have this built in, and the ingnition wires are shielded now anyways! I only put mine back in , for originality or because I'm ****!!!!!! Ron
There is another one that runs from the distributor , for the tach!

It used to be an electrolytic capacitor but after those years in the heat, it surely isn't any longer.

No worries, only affects the noise in the radio. If you have headers you'll never hear it anyway
