Default Rear side carpet advice.

Ok, I'm having a bearcat of a time getting these to fit, and I don't want to start trimming until I have them oriented properly.

The biggest thing getting in the way is that rubber hose that goes from the vents out to the fenderwell. do I trim a notch to get around it or is the top edge of the carpet supposed to just stop there.

A picture would be worth a thousand words right now.

Thanks

Mine sure didnt fit all that well at first, but they look Ok now. I didnt have a hose in the way though. Just the seat belt retainers. I did have to keep trimming untill the edges fit all the trim pieces.

I had a lot of trouble with the back, side carpeting too. Didn't seem to want to fit very well, just kept working it, trimming small amounts here and there, til I was satisfied with it. In the end it came out ok, except I cut a little too much around one of the shoulder belt mount areas.

I'm thinking I'm just going to do the same thing, trim it until I have even coverage and then glue it.

As long as it looks tight and curvy who cares, right?

I know what you are talking about. Those vent drains from the rear deck.....my carpet has a slit with a hole cut in it where the tube is. Sorry, don't have any pics.
