Default Checked the vacuum today and...

I'm running 20lbs after the installation of the 1.6 rockers. Thats up from 16. It's that to much vacuum or do I need to adust the timing? Even reving it, it jumps back up to 20.

I like hearing that you got 20 inches after the rocker arm change... That sounds quite normal. I wonder what the corolation is with the steeper angle rockers... longer valve opening? Deeper opening valve???

Are you in California?

And thats how a 1978 california car ends up with FI. Dealing with the smog ***** have me learning to luv' my carb.

Do you think the legislators will ever learn that FI make fewer pollutants than carbs do???

The higher vacuum shouldn't be a problem unless it due to an over lean mixture, which I doubt would result from the rocker arm change. If anything, I'd expect a slightly lower vacuum reading from the 1.6's. Assuming no other changes were made, I suspect that the increase came as a result of the valve adjustment.
