is there a better exhaust manifold that i can buy to replace my stock ones with out changeing the rest of the exhaust?the emission tubes are not important.

Hooker makes shorty-block hugger headers that will work. Email my dad or IM him. Look up Ken73 or IM me and I'll give you his Email and then Cross-Fire forum page. You'll be able to find anything out there.

Terry the 1982 Vette had 2 1/2 inch SS tube manifolds. If this is what you are planning on changing, I can't see anything available to "BOLT IN" to replace them. A clean-up with a rotary file and matching them to the gaskets is about it.
The '80 & '81 only had 2" maniflods and can use the upgrade from an '82 or even an '84 up with SS tube manifolds, after that it's headers.
Anyone need a set of '81s or '84s let me know. JIM
