Default alt question?

ok so i have worked out a alot of kinks and got my car running not a totally smooth idle but a good soild one its 500 and will bounce 450-550 this is in drive automatic tranny can't steady it out thats the best i can get it. but now a new issue has grown since my car now idles where it should and not ahigh fast idle anymore my generator light comes on and stays on till you give it gas is this maybe a sign of a short somewhere or the alt going bad and not having the go around to chare at the new RPM's?

Also without making another post my headlights come up at different times now. can't find any vac leaks as all has been reworked but the drives side lights comes up first then the pass side follows after full opening of drivers and they go down in the same fashion drivers down first ten pass follows is there any adjustments to change that or am i gonna have a vette that winks

About the idle going up and down I have no clue!
About the "generator" light that could be from a low idle or a bad battery or bad alternator, best to find the idle problem and see if that fixes the light problem.

Headlights:
Bubba fix - put a few drops of 3 and 1 oil in each relay port.
Might Help for a while.
Correct fix: - get new relay or install new "O" rings.
Are you handy?
Do you have more time or money?
