'71 Wiper Actuator Installation Instructions/Tips?

Default '71 Wiper Actuator Installation Instructions/Tips?
When removing the actuator on my'71 convertible, I pulled forward on the actuator with the rod still attached to the back. Now it doesn't work.

Could someone please give me some instruction on how to install a new one?

There is a small bellows seal on the shaft and accuator housing. Maybe you pulled it out or ripped it when you pulled on the shaft. Its under the large bellows dust cover.
