RF Spindle Hosed - 1968
1968
The area where my outer bearing goes on my RF Spindle is porked.
Who reconditions these?
If used... are L and R the same part?
(Note: I've determine the spindle itself is the same L to R)
65-68 is applicable here - I've checked.

68 is one year only. Why not just upgrade to the larger bearing spindles 69-82?

No... it's 65-68 is all the same part.
I'll upgade if I have to - but my left side is all done already - I'd like to match it.

I think he meant for C3s. I have some spindles in the shed , I'll look and see if any are the small bearings and let you know.

I don't think so... it seems to be pretty hosed up until the spindle starts to widen out. (inner bearing area is fine though)
Why do you ask?

No, 65-68 are not all the same. The hubs are but not the spindles. 65-67 use 7/16 steering arm bolts. 68 uses 1/2 bolts like the 69-82 but uses the small bearings.

OK - That's news to me, but I'll take your word.
Nothing that a 1/2 bit woudn't fix I guess.
Odd.. the used parts lot didn't mention that.

These guys have them, they call them re-conditioned.

I've got this set off my parts car. Cleaned them up, the threads and bearing surfaces are fine.
