I was talking to my boss at work the other day and I was asking him about the vat of liquid ceramic we have there and what it was used for. He told me that it's heated to about 200 deg and poured into the water jackets and pushed around the engine. Then when it dries it seals all the cervises in the block and removes hot spots. I thought that might be a good idea considering that vette's have cooling problems already right? Anyone know if this is a good idea. I'm thinking about all this while the block is still sittin there. :D

It seems to me that if this stuff melts at 200 degrees, you wouldn't want to put it into your engine. It will melt if/when your engine gets that hot.
I owned the C3 & C4 vettes when they were new, we never had cooling problems, maybe the guys with BB and Air in the Navada desert. Most cooling problems can be traced to old and cloged Rads. If the rads were replaced and the rubber rad seals are installed as per GM standards there should be no cooling problems. No need to pour crap in the rad or the engine

I don't know about the internal engine ceramic coating but I do know this, those old stock engined cars were borderline on controling the engine heat.Especially the BB with A/C.The more power the more heat the motor can potentialy build. These Vettes are getting modded pretty heavily and need every advantage they can get.Redline Water Wetter and other additives plus the newer style water pumps,t-stat mods, bypass restrictors and radiators are not exactly "crap" .They work!
It seems to me the ceramic coating "might" be a good way to decrease the engine heat so X factor,,,,you go first!
:)
I am definately with MountainMotor on this one, and if it works save a little for me as I may need to pour a little on my wife to cool her down a bit, , I should have listened when she said no car parts on my dining room table or kitchen sink, thank god she didn't see the stuff in the dishwasher or the oven. :nonod:
