Hi folks...probably a novice (aka dumb) question here but...
I am going to need to replace the clutch in my '73 (L82 engine) and in looking around, I see that I should have a 26 spline/1 1/8" input shaft (I think).
My question is about the diameter of the clutch plate. I've seen 11", 10.5" & 10.4". How do I know what diameter clutch plate to go for?
Look at the starter - if it is a stock type starter and has inline bolts (two different lengths) to the block, you have the small flywheel and it uses a 10.4" (or 10.5") clutch. If the bolts are staggered (both same length), it uses a large flywheel which uses an 11" clutch.
