Default 1984 oxygen sensor

I replaced my 02 sensor because my check engine light code said it was bad along with the map sensor. I replaced the 02 sensor tonight and it is running very well but the code for 02 sensor came right back on. The map sensor code is also on. Will the map sensor also cause the 02 sensor to show bad as well?
Thanks

Just because the code says the O2 sensor reading is bad, is not a guarantee that it is actually the sensor. You need to check the wiring and connections to see if there is another cause.

I understand the connector can cause the issue as well. I will inspect and clean it as well tonight.

sometimes I have a mental block. I know I have to do that but for some reason I did not reset the code. Thanks I will do that tonight!
