I've got manual window cranks and something is broken inside the door.
I can turn the crank, but the window isn't moving. It's not the handle as I can feel it's spinning something around.
I plan to take the door apart this weekend, just wondered if anyone else had encountered this problem so I know what I'm in for.
it is usually the handle as it is cheaper pot metal.. strips easilly, and easy to replace... but if you say is true and is not the handle, then you will have to take the door panel off to see
There may be a pin behind the window crank which engages the regulator. 68s have them and other years might. The assembly instruction manual will show it if it's supposed to be there.
took the door panel off on saturday, put handle on, window goes up and down.
Put the door panel back on, spins freely. If I press the handle while I spin, it engages and the window goes up and down.
