Dash Removal 81
Does anyone out there have a detailed dash removal and reinstall process for an 81? I've got to put headlight and wiper switches along with radio and do some center gauge work. Any help would be appreciated. freddie.zee65@gmail.com

The dash panel is held in place by the gage cluster. Remove the center console and the gage panel. Remove the steering wheel and the support to let the colume drop. Remove the speedo and tack cluster. remove the glove box. Once all the components are removed the dash has 3 clips at the top towards the windsheild. Just raise up alittle and it will come out. The wings at the corners of the dash by the windsheild frame are very week and can break off. I took the seats out. Much easyier to work. If you do remove the dash swap out the heater core. Very easy without the dash and a real pain if in place. But to save you a bunch of work you can replace the headlight and wiper switch by removing the speedo cluster, still have to drop the colume.
