Default Taillight rebuild

New taillights are about $65 each! Are there kits out there for rebuilding them? I would want to do the electrical sockets and a couple of the studs. Any help is appreciated.

You will have to remove each tail lamp assembly and take it apart to determine what needs to be done with each one. You can buy replacement lenses, sockets, and housings; but your best [and least expensive] alternative is to repair them yourself. If you have a stud broken off, you could drill it out and epoxy a flat-headed stud back into that location...or use a screw in place of the stud. You may have to contact some Corvette parts salvage places to find a complete housing.

Do you know where I can get the sockets?

Check out website for lectriclimited.com . They have lots of 'interesting' electrical components for vintage Corvettes. Or, if you remove one of the tail lamp assemblies and take it to an auto parts supply store, they may be able to match the socket with replacement parts.
