I am changing my 69 to L-88 hood, I want to use L-88 air cleaner setup, my question is.
Will L-88 air cleaner base fit Holley Double Pumper carburetors?
Did L-88 use double pumper or vacuum secondary?
Just want to be sure before ordering parts.

The Holley carburetor used on 1969 L88 engines was List No 4296. This was an 850 CFM carburetor. It had mechanical secondaries, and the "double pumper" accelerator pumps.

do you want a real/genuine GM L-88 base? send a PM if you or anyone else is interested....
I am doing the same thing. I am using a 3933163 Intake manifold and a Holley 4780 (800cfm) double pumper with mech. secondaries. I have an OEM L88 hood that someone had removed the air chamber on so I bought an Ecklers air chamber and an air cleaner kit from Zip with all the other components. I have not tried fitting anything much up yet but I am hoping the geometry is going to work on this. Let us know if you run into problems. I was under the impression that the L88 used vacuum secondaries for some reason or other but I did believe it to be an 850 cfm Holley.

If you look under the "Induction" section in this article you'll see that they agree with your recollection on the carb, FWIW.
