those that swapped to TPI
been several years now, so this is my recollection, but that is how I did it....essentially....
Subsequently I modified my accessories drives and put in a CS130D alternator and Mark VIII fan. After this, I was uncomfortable with the closeness of the alternator belt to the hose and I Installed one of the corregated stainless things. It gave me more clearance and assured me that the water hose would not be enextectedly worn through.
I cut the hose and realize...I have to go back to advance and find a short hose with a pretty tight 90 degree turn thats long enough to splice in..all the while the gods have decided to turn on every faucet in heaven to create the biggest gully washer we have had in sometime. (i do have a garage thank goodness)
I get to advance and within 5 seconds see a hose hanging on the rack that I didnt see the first time that looks like a perfect fit!!...I grab it and sure enough I think this is gonna work!!! I realize when I get to the counter this hose must fit a corvette of some type because my other hose..Close to the same length....now in two pieces....was $11.99..this one however is %@$#@ $24.99 FREAKING DOLLARS!!!....it HAS to fit a corvette of some year due to the corvette tax.
Long story short....I bring it home and it fits perfect. one hose and 2 trips down the drain. Btw...I have two half hoses if anyone is interested....
