Help headlights wont raise
My headlights stopped raising so I thought I had a hole in one of my vacuum lines. I traced it back to the big coffee can in the front of the car. It was all good. So I removed the coffee can and it had a small hole in it. So I had an AH HA moment and I used a little J B WELD on the hole to seal it up. I reenstalled it and hooked up the three lines and it still does not work. So I traced the two out going lines from the coffee can to the small actuator relays. When I pull the line off the right actuator relay, from the coffee can and put my thumb on it the left headlight will raise. When I pull the line on the left side, from the coffee can I have much less pressure then the other side and when I put my thumb over that, the right headlight does not move. I figured that it cant be the coffee can because it does hold a vacuum when I suck on the hoses, and the vacuum should be the same coming out of both sides. Not strong on one side and weak on the other. So what do I do next. Which side is bad? My left headlight will now raise but it will not lower and my right headlight will not raise at all????? Could it be the relays. I already changed the right actuator last year. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. John

I know this won't directly answer the question you have, but this is recommended reading. Someone more knowledgeable will have to chime in.
