Hello, I am cleaning up my 68 327 and I added a new intake manifold (21011) a new Holley 4160 ... and just about every thing else that conects to the manifold... Well... I installed throttle cable bracket w/Auto Trans Kick-Down Attachment... I have an automatic transmission but I do not see the automatic transmission kickdown cables.... just the throttle cable ... am I missing something or maybe I looked over it? Im not sure what it is and if every automatic has them or not. Thank you guys
Im not sure about 68 without checking manuals but My 73 has an orange wire that comes out of the firewall to trans switch for kick down. Hope this helps. Check for button under gas pedal?
The kickdown for the THM400 is an electrical solenoid in the trans energized by a 12V switch by the throttle pedal. There is no cable kickdown. Lokar does make a cable kickdown but the cable that mounts on the carb just pulls on a box with an electrical switch inside.

Ok ... I just changed the throttle cable and I had to remove the gas pedal do get to the throttle cable... I did see a white switch that is push when the gas pedal is pressed... is this it? So I dont need a cable running to the carb? Thank you
