Default Borgeson install

Okay Im about to install my Borgeson steering box (which fits on a 69 small block car with hooker supercomp side pipes btw) and I realized I had no idea what lines go to the steering cylinder. How does it all go together? is the assist now in the box?

Default im dumb

Awww crap... I don't need a new steering cylinder do I?... I think I may have just waisted some cash on a new cylinder and hoses that I don't need.

Next time I shall read before I purchase.

No, you're not dumb, just didn't do enough research. We're all guilty of it at one point or another

Read this thread, then return that cylinder and the hoses and put the $$ towards an alignment when you're done with the install

The assist is in the box. That's the beauty of it...no more leaking cylinders! And better road feel...and.......

Ck Corvette Enthusiast for an article I did when I installed it on my car. It drives great!

Starts on page 43.

I assume you bought the box and the hoses. If so, the connexion between the steering pump and the borgeson steering box are idiotproof (when I say that, I think about me). The thread size are different, you just can't connect them the wrong way.

Thanks for input guys, Ive had this old vette since i was 17 (25 now) and im only now getting around to getting it back into shape, good to know I can count on this forum for good info. And on the upside after returning the parts I should have some spare cash to put towards more parts
