header question
I have the base 350 in my '74 auto trans..
notice the second set of pipes here: http://www.ecklers.com/corvette-exha...sion-1974.html those are the ones that bolt up to the manifold currently, see how they go "up"
can they bolt right up to: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9003/?rtype=10
Looks like the headers go "straight" and my stock exhaust goes downward..

Its no big deal to get the exhaust done at a shop - usually very cheap to have them do the last bit of fab. I would say if you have everything ready, its probably ~$50 worth of work to have the shop cut and weld on the collector.
Just an FYI, just about anything you find for a factory car will be for the factory mount location. Basically it is built to work with the exhaust ram or with shorty headers that fit in place, but not any long tube/equal length kind of setups. Anyone with long tubes has had to either buy a full kit including the headers or had fab work done.
