VIN Number Info!
Can anyone point me in the right direction to a website that describes each of the numbers (and letters) of a VIN number for a '80 that I'm looking at? Thanks in advance. :cool:

1=Chevrolet Motor Division
Z=Corvette Y Model Series Z
87=Coupe Body
8=L-48 Would be H for 305ci or 6 for L-82
A=1980 Model Year
S=St.Louis Assembly Plant
4=CheckDigit
00001 to 40614=Plant production number
Mine is #32167, the 32,167th 1980 Corvette built out of 40,614 1980 Corvettes
