Do the wipers park correctly?
Did this problem just start or has it been going on for some time?

Never seen an adjustment. Is it possible that the wiper blades you have are too long?

The wiper arms were the same from '68-'82.... except for the washer hose.
Are you have the proper stops and have them installed correctly?

I just checked my wipers... 16" blades ('73 coupe) and they stop and then start their return about 2" from the inner windshield (chrome) trim.
How far go past the windshield chrome trim do yours go?

Check part #'s on the wiper arms, wiper motor and be sure you have the proper blades, stops, etc:
There may be a method to adjust the throw on the wiper motor but I've never heard of such.
I never drive my Corvette in the rain, or chance of rain so I have only been caught in a rain storm a few times in many years.
Of course the tops are always stored in my garage so I have no one to blame but myself

Down where the wiper linkage attaches to the motor is an adjustment for each side. Loosen the 2 - 3/8 nuts and the linkage will slide.

My chevrolet shop manaul sayes that the left blade should be 1" lower than the rest block and that the right one should just touch the left blade. On the top side or where your having the problem they should be 3/4" from the chrome mold. After you adjust the bottom side (in Rodger's advice) adjust the wire arm screw until you get the 3/4" and you should be good to go.

Thats odd, my wipers park very gentle (no noise or hard contact) and they still stop about 2" from the windshield trim

My AIM also states it's allowed to bend the wiper arms to achieve the correct clearance. (no kidding)
Note : It's not my recommendation lol

Hi,
On the original arms there is a screw that is part of the adjustment for how far the wipers sweep. It's mentioned in the AIM adjustment information.
Regards.
Alan
Here it is on the right side wiper.
