horse power
I was told that the L-82 vettes were under rated in thier horse power. They are rated at 220hp. I was told they had 350hp. Is this true? How much does it really have?

Re: horse power (zeek racing)
I dont know about 350HP, but i thought the l-82 were rated at 250??
I thought it was as follows:
l-48 = 190
l82 = 250
and 454 for 73 and 74 = 270
its been a while since i looked at any charts for this but i think im pretty close

Re: horse power (74VETTE)
74Vette. My 79 Vette spec book says: RPO L-48,195 @4000 Two torque ratings: 285 @3200 or 280 @2400 And the RPO L-82, 225 @5200 Torque 270 @3600. What ever is was is wasn't alot. The "383" replacement in it now is what it SHOULD have been back in 79. JCL :cool: :cool: :chevy "Sidepipes are the way"

Re: horse power (74VETTE)
Stock horsepower doesnt matter... high flow exhaust = 20 horse... New cam = nother 20 horse... New intake = 15 horse... new heads...
Get what i'm saying? Kind of one of the things that is easily changed... along with bank acount totals with these cars :smash:
