Windshield Wiper Problems ....Another Thread
1. Checked fuse for power with test light....test light lights up.
2. Disconnected three wire connector from wiper motor checked for power with test light on center (power).....test light lights up. If not mistaken the other two wires are for high and low speed correct? I put the test light on them to see if current flows to them as well (I assume not but checked anyway), light did not light up.
3. I pulled wiper switch from dash, put test light on each terminal on both connecters to see if test light will light up. Test light did not light up, no power at any terminal.
4. I then reconnected the motor and reconnected the switch so I can wiggle the wires to the motor and switch while switch is on low speed.
Nothing happend of course. My question is since there is no power to the switch there is no way to tell if the switch itself is bad. They don't make switches anymore. Btw I put a new ww motor to see if it is the motor and that was not either??? What next?

edit-try this- leave the 3 wire connector on the motor , turn the key to on , touch probe of test light to center term and confirm 12v , now touch the probe to one of the other term and see if you get a click ,sometimes the wipers will run using the test light as a ground.
