Help!

Howdy ya'll, new guy here. I just bought a 1981 vette yesterday and it ran great till I got it home, now it idles way too high, around 20,000rpm when it's in park or neutral, and diesels for a few minutes when i try to shut it off. Any idea what the prob could be? Thanx in advance for the help.

You mean 2000 RPM. Check that the throttle is returnng all the way for openers.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Check to see if you didn't knock a hose off.

Thanks for the tips pals, here's a couple pics from the craigslist ad where I found her, these don't do her any justice but I havent had the chance to snap any yet myself.
