Cleaning up ATF?
Lesson learned. Shortcuts will cost you time in the end! Installed a trans cooler last year, and didn't have a close-quarter drill to get down in there and make the holes at the right place in the radiator support, so I routed the hoses up near the top. This arrangement was fine until a plastic tie broke and left one of the hoses in contact with the upper A arm, with predictable results. Thankfully I was close to home when I smelled the ATF hitting the manifold. What's the best way to clean this stuff off the painted parts of the engine compartment without wrecking them? For the underside and frame I'm just planning on hosing it down with brake cleaner and wiping it down, unless someone has a better idea? Thanks,
