Hey everyone. I posted before about my 4 ways, and they are fixed. I didn't put the lever into the back of the turn signal switch. I have a 1976 Corvette. Now my problem is my turn signals will not work. My 4 ways work fine, but the turn signals will not work. I have the dash out of the car now too. Does the dash have anything to do with the turn signals not working? The turn signal switch is only 6 months old. I have no idea what to do here. Please help!
Thanks for the reply Roger. They will not work at all. They won't even light up. I think it has to be from the switch because my 4 ways work and flash all the way around.
With your test light check the purple wire for 12v at the harmonica connector , this will confirm the Turn fuse is good and you have power through the flasher.
Ok roger this is what i got. The big brown wire, 3rd black from the outside, the black with pink tracer next to it, all read 12v. The purple did not read 12v. I engaged the turn signal, and I still got nothing but those 3. Any help on that? My 4 ways still work and flash properly. Is there another flasher I should looking for? Thanks as always.
On my '71 there are two flasher units. If I remember correctly the one in the fuse bank (driver side under dash on fire wall) is the 4 way and the turn signal is behide the passenger dash pad on a clip. Not sure if a '76 is the same. If your dash is out you may not have a proper ground. Good luck
You guys rock! I put the flasher on the anti-theft prongs in the 3-door compartment area. I put that flasher on the passenger side, and it works. Thank you guys so much.
