Thinking of installing a Hughes 4L80E over-drive tranny into my 69 C3. Wondering if any of you guys are running this set up and have you had any issues installing/fitting the tranny?

Slip yokes are from single cab trucks, bolt-on from anything with a 2-piece driveshaft - extended and crewcabs.
You don't have to use the later model trannies with one cooling line in back, there is an internal oiling mod that gets the same thing done, then you can use the transmission with both cooler lines in front like the old stuff. Sure makes it a lot easier to connect and disconnect those lines.
I've been scavenging 4L80E's from part-outs for years, only have 8 or 9 of them now...

Can I use a slip yoke with the bolt on shaft? Or will this weaken it?
