headlight problem

Default headlight problem
I am restoring a 1975 corvette and noticed that when you turn the car off and the headlights are off, the headlights pop up and only one goes back down. Sometimes it is the drivers side and sometimes it is the passenger side. Any suggestions?

It sounds like someone seriously messed up the vacuum line connections. Check a shop manual or assembly manual for vacuum line routing and also inspect the line check valves.

One metal one and one white plastic one in the main vacuum supply line from the intake manifold.
