Default gauge panel lights

Hello I wanted to change my clear lens on my gauges (console) because mine was cracked. Now that I went in there and disturbed everything thats been sitting for 26 years some of my lights for the gauges arent working.I know the light bulbs work when I put them in different sockets.Anybody have any ideas to make this work? It seems pretty simple two wires going into a plug I thought it might be a contact problem but it seems ok these lights all worked before I went in there I know this is a simple problem but Iam learning those are the hardest ones on these lovely things called corvettes.thanks everbody Slo Rde :flag :flag

I assume the guage panel has the flex circuit on the back. Check the voltage at each bulb socket. If they appear oxidized clean them with a pencil eraser. They will shine like new. Bend the contacts out on the bulb housing for good interference. Also check out the main connector to the flex circuit for proper connections.

Hope this helps.

Sometimes when wiring sits, the ends get corrosion on them. The metal should be bright and shiny, not green or white. That's a place to start.

Make sure your ground wire is connected to the grounding pin on the panel. Not sure if yours has this, but when I changed my lenses on my '70 there were several places that the ground wire from the wiring harness connected. Getting up under the dash of these cars is a real PNTA. Oh, one suggestion to all who do this.... go ahead and change all the bulbs at one time while you have the whole dash and console apart!! :yesnod:
