I have a very original old 1982 Corvette with only 55,430 original miles. I've noticed lately that I have to turn the car over for about 3 to 4 seconds before it fires off.
Can someone give me an idea to what may be responsible for the slow starts? Also, have noticed lately that she sometimes wants to idle rough but not always. Driving down the road she runs perfect.
I've never had engine work done, or have I had to. Besides religious oil changes about every 1500 miles.
Have you checked for vacuum leaks around the base gasket of the throttle bodies? If I remeber correctly, crossfires have a common problem with the base gaskets causing vacuum leaks which in turn causes rough running. This is especially possible if they're original.
