I'm rebuilding an original '70 350/300 engine. Looking for info on Ferrea valves.
Any personal experience?
Best place to purchase?
Thanks for any info.

Agree with MotorHead that they're not necessary for a stock build, but if you're looking to step up I'd look at the 5000's. FWIW, I'm sold enough on Ferrea that I bought their +.100" long 6000 series EV8's for my 7000+ rpm street 427 BB build (still on hold due to funding shortfall) thru the shop that did my heads. When somebody says: "Ferrea valves in all my engines" I really don't think that they are looking at the whole picture. You have to look at a cost and benefit ratio. Will a $10 - $15 stainless valve work as good as a $18 -$30 dollar Ferrea. The answer is yes in all, but the most extreme racing environments.
If you can save 8-9 grams of weight per valve with tulip raceflow or proflow valves and have higher port CFM. Why would you narrow your view down to just Ferrea valves?
I have used Manley race or proflow valve for 20 some years of engine building unless I'm serious and then they get titanium.
