How do you make this tool to adjust the rectangular idle screws?

ok so its yard them out with a needle nose pliers and then either replace them or slot them for a screw driver.

I don't know if you mean the clutch head screws that were used in older carbs. But I bought a cheap screwdriver and socket set, which has all different size phillips, straight head, and torx head ends that slip into the magnetic screwdriver shaft. There are also a couple of rectangular shaped ends, which must fit the application you have.

If you mean those nasty little Q-Jet idle mixture screws, I too need one. The guy at the local vette shop has a nifty driver with a long flexible shaft that fits right over those little buggers. Makes it real easy for getting on and off quickly, with the engine fan blowing hot air right in your face.

NAPA stores and most other auto supply stores (including Mac Tools and SnapOn) have the tool for about $4. Just buy the tool.
