Door Lock Cylinder

I was replacing my locks and the passenger side lock pushed straight thru. I needed to glass over the hole, and then recut a new hole for the lock.
If the problem is with the fiberglass, as SGM says, the retainer is held on VERY tight, so I'm not sure what the best way to strengthen the fiberglass would be - anybody have any ideas?

I can't seem to find a diagram on how these install so I'm not sure if these are the correct part to fix my lock cylinder. Anyone have any ideas on this?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Bought a set a few weeks ago.
Or at a junkyard, almost every car made in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's used them.
Here is a pic of the alarm lock, a little different, fiberglass is missing of course, but same idea.

If the fiberglass is that weak, you may have to grind the inside down almost thru to the outside, reglass it and them grind it to close to the original thickness. Or do it on the outside too, but that will require paint.
