Ok....I'm replacing my speedo cable.....removal was fine, but install has been rough! I am about 1/2 inch or so from "snap-in". I am afraid I will break something soon if I keep attempting to force it to connect......any hints will be great.
I have removed, installed the previous one fine in the past, but this new one is a bugger to get connected.
('78 auto, no cruise, lower end is not connected.)
All great suggestions...everything looks the same but maybe they messed up.....I'll mic the ends tonight. I'm thnking having the wife push and maybe twist the inner cable slightly.
thanks for the suggestions and confirming my thoughts......
I just replaced mine in my 79. I bought the 72" from Advance Auto and it went in fine. I did pull the cluster out to make sure I ran the cable through the same way it was. It went in fine and snapped into the head easy.
