What cleaner do i use to remove this rust?

Hey all,

What kind of cleaner/remover do i use to remove this rust from under my hood? Here's a few pics..

You need some Rusteze medicated bumper ointment! Sorry couldn't resist. I would say a little sanding to remove the rust and some semi flat black to recoat should do the job.

What I see is not rust but weatherstrip adhesive applied at factory. GM did not have many detail experts working the line when our cars were built.

Yep. That's 'residual' weatherstrip sealant. Just scrape it off or use a small wire brush. Then touch up the paint with semi-flat black.
