Hi Guys,my flashers were working just fine after i finished my complete o/haul on my 72 c3,drove it for a few weeks, than it started when the car would heat up, the flasher would quit this went on a few times, and then they quit again, and never worked sence than.I checked the fuses, flasher fuses, wires and still nothing.
Any Idears Anybody?
The turn signal flasher module is just behind the lower-right side of the passenger's dash pad...pressed into a clip. The emergency flasher is plugged into the fuse panel. Change the one that is not working. (Have you tried the e-flashers?) Common problem....easy fix.
e-flashers are ok,yes I checked flasher moudules, it's good...also checked in jack compartment and that flasher fuse is also good.
I was thinking maybe the turn signal switch.....what do think?
The flasher module in the jack compartment is for your stock security system. I upgraded to a modern one (but mine had it too, but very rusty in there) with wireless/automatic locks, but does yours still work? That would be cool. Anyways, the flasher module you need to check is behind the your middle dash panel (kind of free floating). Enter from the passenger side and take the side panel off (should take all of 10 seconds). You should just see two wires going to a module. I have been in the steering column and if your E-flashers work, your switch should be fine (it is the same part that gets actuated). Check the module and we can go from there.
BTW - these are modules, not fuses. They have a completely different function. How did you check that it was good? Multimeter?
