Electric fuel pump
I discovered the mechanical fuel pump on my car was replaced with an electric one. It is mounted close to the gas tank. Any suggestion what model electric fuel to replace this one that leaks? It is a standard two wire and in and out line.

I would go back to a mechanical one. If you just really want an electric one, you can get a universal electric type from any of the chain parts stores. You may have to look in the catalog, or find someone who can actually help, not just a computer parts looker on-er. (I can see a new Bud Light commercial. "We salute you mr. computer parts looker upper......) It sounds like all you need is a generic, low volume, low pressure electric pump with the correct inlet and outlet hose size.

Since someone already went through the trouble of converting to electric, may as well stick with it, as makes cold starting with a dry carburetor a lot easier. Probably go with a Holley Red pump here, as decent price, and good quality. If you dont already have an inline filter between the tank and pump, good idea to add one.
