Yep, should work on everything 01 and up. I spent quite a bit on an aftermarket LS bell housing, flywheel, clutch, etc on my 68 swap with 26 spline Richmond trans. It would have cost even more if I needed a 10 spline clutch. I'm doing a swap in a 72 Olds 442 now and it has a 10 spline muncie.
Do yourself a huge and fun favor,
Find a T56 out of the same era Camaro, thats what I did, uses the LS1 clutch, easy.
I have a 4:10 rear end and with the T56 I'm at 1800 RPM at 80mph.
I would agree with Frank... IF it's in your budget AND you currently have a rear end gear that will work with the T56.
I'm working on a tight budget, already have the muncie, and have a 2.73 rear in the 72 442 I'm working on now.
Down the road, I can always swap in a T45 (Keisler) or another Richmond trans and reuse everything except the trans itself.
